Mars Venus Heart Space is the iOS app we built to bring decades of relationship and emotional-wellness research into a mobile sanctuary, designed for people who feel overwhelmed, stressed, or simply seeking peace of mind.

The Problem

Most wellness apps treat emotion as a single shape. They hand the user a blank journal and expect them to know what to write. Mars Venus knew, from decades of research, that men and women often process emotion in different ways, and that the cost of starting is what stops most people from showing up at all.

Users needed structure. They needed prompts. They needed an app that lowered the friction of beginning, and held the rhythm between sessions.

What We Built

A native iOS app organised around four pillars:

• Reflect and release. Guided prompts walk users through processing difficult emotions, step by step.
• Emotional support. Gender-aware listening tools and personalised reflections, drawn from the Mars Venus body of work.
• Stress relief. Structured exercises that bring calm, clarity, and balance, not just breathing timers.
• Daily growth. Affirmations and wisdom letters that sustain progress between sessions.

Every flow is short enough to fit a real day and deliberate enough to leave a mark.

How It Works

The iOS client is built in Swift and SwiftUI with Core Data powering offline-first storage. The reflection engine runs on Python with FastAPI, using OpenAI GPT-4 with custom prompts tuned to the Mars Venus voice, warm, calm, never clinical. The system adapts prompts based on user history while staying privacy-respectful.
